Best known for her large, abstract oils on canvas, İyem is a prolific artist who also created smaller paintings, as well as an extensive body of works on paper. Studio ii has compiled some works that represent the breadth and depth of her oeuvre.

The Art & Studio ii supports research, and exhibitions to ensure İyem İmren is broadly recognized as an established female artist.
The Studio ii related initiatives recognize artistic excellence and elevate a wide range of visual artists and practices. Borne and raised originally in Diyarbakır,located on an escarpment of the Upper Tigris River Basin that is part of the so-called Fertile Crescent, the fortified city of Diyarbakır and the landscape around has been an important centre since the Hellenistic period, through the Roman, Sassanid, Byzantine, Islamic and Ottoman times to the present. Therefore Studio ii works to actively expand the visual arts to better reflect the diverse world in which we live.
Today it serves as an evolving example and resource for how an artist’s history and generosity can impact future generations of artists as well as everyday people.
